I don’t know if this is photoshopped or not, but I sincerely hope it really did happen.
Edit: Turns out that this is in fact photoshopped and the kids wearing the “O” and “M” were swapped. Am I sad that it wasn’t real? Yes. Is it still damn funny? Yes.
The time has finally come. As of today, the petition to oust Governor Scott Walker from office has begun. We’ve got 60 days to do it, so please make sure to find someone who has a petition and sign it.

In the past few weeks, the tea party faction that has taken over the Republican party has booed an American soldier serving in Iraq simply because he was openly gay, cheered Rick Perry’s execution record, and shouted “let him die” about a hypothetical man who got sick without insurance. Similar hate-filled incidents go further back and are more than plentiful. Frankly, as a fellow human, I find this type of behavior repulsive and I am ashamed to share my planet with people who have such hate and disregard for others.
I know it's a joke, but lately it seems all too relevant.
It is time for reasonable Americans on both sides of the aisle to stand up to this small yet offensively loud minority of extreme right-wing nut-jobs and call them what they are: A 21st century hate group, akin to the early and mid 20th century’s KKK. So far they’ve preferred to use speech over violence to spread their message, but let’s face it, it’s just a matter of time before one of them snaps or a group of crazies split off to form a tea party militia.
It would be like a train wreck — you can’t look away.

For those of you not yet up to date with the news today, Rick Santorum is running for President. I find this absolutely hilarious, because of his gigantic Google problem. I won’t delve any further in to the details of Dan Savage’s highly successful redefining of Santorum‘s last name, other than every time I’ve typed it in this thread I’ve linked it to the “Spreading Santorum” website, which further worsens his problem.

If you watch every the slightest bit of even the most local of news programs, you’re probably aware that if the Republicans and Democrats can’t agree on a budget for the rest of this fiscal year, the federal government will be shutting down as of midnight tonight. Both sides are doing a fantastic job of blaming each other and are all around doing a fantastic job of claiming that the other side is the one refusing to negotiate. Likewise, both sides are adamantly insisting that they do not actually want a government shutdown. Openly contradicting what the Republican leadership is saying, however, is the Tea Party. They are actively hoping that the government does indeed shut down. Some of them have even been chanting it at rallies and their elected officials have been, albeit not publicly, excited about the prospects of a shutdown. In fact, it is the Tea Party caucus in the House that keeps coming back to Boehner with their thumbs pointed to the ground.
Although there is plenty of blame to go around, there’s really only one force that continually blocks compromise and and wants a shutdown. This isn’t the Democrat’s government shutdown. It isn’t even the Republican’s government shutdown. This is a Tea Party Shutdown.
Regressives – noun
The new label representing the political attitude of the Republican Party, showing their push towards policies that strip American citizens of their rights. This should be adopted to refer to the Republican Party in the same respect that it’s antonym, Progressives, is a reference to the Democratic Party; Why did you vote for the Regressives? Their overall goal is to strip workers of their rights and make the rich richer.
